Description
Cape Amazon is short in stature and has an upright/clumping growth habit. This fuzzy, orange-red bloom has a long bloom cycle of Spring-Fall. It is a pollinator attractor and drought tolerant once established. Look to this perennial whenever you need a reminder that all things have a unique and innate beauty to experience, once willing to appreciate them as they are.
Anigozanthos is commonly known as Kangaroo paw or Cat's paw. Native to Australia, these are wonderfully unique flowering plants with long, slender, arching leaves in a clumping habit and extraordinary clusters of tubular flowers that are covered in velvety fuzz, giving them the look of an animal's paw. Flowers are on long, velvety stems that rise above the foliage. Blooms come in an array of colors and are an impressive addition to your garden. They are easy to care for, drought tolerant and thrive as a perennial in our mild climate. Pollinators and hummingbirds love them but deer do not!
