Local Delivery & Returns

Local Delivery

At this time, we offer two methods to receive your order:

  • In-Store Pickup
  • Local Delivery handled by our in-house staff

In-Store Pickup

Simply show a copy of your order receipt to one of our cashiers when you arrive (we are open 9am-5pm everyday, except when posted otherwise for certain holidays).  Both a digital copy on your phone or a printout are acceptable.

We will bring your order to you and even help you load it into your car, if you like.

Local Delivery

If you opted to pay to have your order delivered (and your address was eligible for delivery), a staff member will contact you within 24 hours to schedule the delivery.  Currently, we only offer local delivery for certain zip codes in the San Francisco East Bay Area that are approximately within a 20 mile radius from our nursery.  If you reside outside one of those zip codes, then In-Store Pickup will be your only option.

All bulk material deliveries are made to the curb. Consider how you will move delivered material beyond the curb into your property.

Returns

We are happy and eager to share our expertise with you to maximize your success with our plants. Please inquire with our staff for appropriate information and additional plant care guidelines. After plants leave our nursery there is no warranty or guarantee implied. 

Once plants leave our care, we cannot control conditions. Therefore, Evergreen cannot be responsible for any damage or loss caused by insects, diseases, animals, weather conditions, neglect, changing garden conditions, improper care or improper watering. 

HOUSEPLANTS / HANGING BASKETS: 

  • Return or exchange within 7 days provided plant is in original container and in saleable condition.  
  • Original receipt required. 

PERENNIALS: 1 Gallon or larger ONLY: 

  • Return or exchange within 14 days provided plant is in original container and in saleable condition.  
  • Original receipt required. 

 TREES / SHRUBS / ROSES/ VINES: 

  • Return or exchange within 7 days provided the specimen is in the original pot.  
  • Original receipt required. 
  • NOTE: It is the responsibility of the customer to have all underground utilities marked and located prior to planting. Please call 811, the national “Call before you dig” number. This is a free service to mark your utilities and protect you and your home.  

NON PLANT MERCHANDISE / POTTERY/PLANT PRODUCTS:  

  • Return or exchange within 14 days provided item is in original, saleable condition. 
  • Opened product will not be accepted for return unless determined faulty by Evergreen. 
  • Original receipt required. 

ANNUALS / PERENNIALS / VEGETABLES: 4-inch & 6-packs 

  • These are FINAL SALE and not eligible for return or exchange.

SALE / CLEARANCE / DISCOUNTED / BULK ITEMS: 

  • These are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange. 

ALL RETURNS OR EXCHANGES REQUIRE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT
