Tillandsia, commonly known as Air Plants, are some of the most fascinating and versatile houseplants available. Unlike traditional plants, Tillandsias do not grow in soil. Instead, they absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves, making them perfect for creative indoor displays.
Air Plants come in many shapes and sizes, from soft and grassy to silvery and spiky. They can be displayed in glass terrariums (open style), mounted on wood, placed in ceramic holders, or arranged as living décor on shelves and tables.
Tillandsias prefer bright, indirect light and good airflow. To care for them, soak the plant in water about once a week (more often in dry conditions), then allow it to dry completely to prevent rot.
Many Tillandsias produce colorful blooms and offsets, or “pups,” over time, forming small clumps as they mature.
With their sculptural look and soil-free nature, Air Plants are an easy, modern way to bring greenery into any indoor space.
