Lavender angustifolia is commonly known as English Lavender and is the one most often used in cooking and for decorative use. Prized for its aromatic leaves, fragrant flower spikes of varying shades of purple and the classic, sweet lavender scent. Long flower spikes make it excellent for cutting. Deer resistant, drought tolerant and a magnet for bees and butterflies! 'Munstead' is a lovely compact variety with light purple, tightly held blooms reaching 8" atop dense, narrow gray leaves.
Lavender is comprised of 47 different species, each with its own unique flower, foliage and distinct aroma. A favorite among gardeners and a wonderful plant for our climate. Evergreen, pollinator magnet, drought tolerant and deer resistant make this a gorgeous addition to all types of gardens.
