Description
Upright, climbing growth habit, Chondropetalum tectorum brings flow to your garden. Their brown flowers and grass-like stems gives an airy/watery element to whatever area they are planted in, wet or dry. They are not fussy, requiring very little maintenance and tolerant to various soil types. Water the top two inches of soil when dry and they are good to go!
Known for their upright growth form and grass-like nature, chondropetalum, also known as cape rush, originates from South Africa. They can tolerate different type of soils and climates, are drought-tolerant, and can be planted in different areas based on the type of look the gardener desires. Blooms can blossom anywhere from Spring- Summer and enjoys being planted mainly in full sun. Deer-resistant.
