‘Anchor Bay’ is a coastal Ceanothus selection known for its wide-spreading habit and dense, evergreen foliage. In spring, it produces vibrant blue flower clusters that attract pollinators and provide seasonal color.
Its low profile makes it especially useful for erosion control on slopes, cascading over retaining walls, or filling large areas as a groundcover. The glossy green leaves maintain a clean, uniform appearance year-round.
Adapted to coastal environments, it tolerates wind, salt spray, and sandy soils. Inland, it performs best with excellent drainage and limited summer irrigation.
Low maintenance and highly functional, this variety is well suited to both residential landscapes and habitat-focused plantings. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape if needed.
