About the Workshop

Grow It From Home, founded by farmer Emily Gogol phD, teaches home gardeners how to grow cannabis, a versatile medicinal plant, much like any other backyard crop. Emily will lead this session with special guest Penny Barthel, focusing on the harvest stage: judging ripeness, and the hands-on work of picking, trimming, drying, and curing your flowers for the best results.

Stock Up Before You Go

A good harvest starts with good soil. While you're at the nursery for the workshop, stop by our garden care aisle for quality cutting tools by trusted brands like Corona®, and specialty potting mix like E.B. Stones's Recipe 420 to keep your medicinal plants, and the rest of your garden, thriving through fall.

It's also a great time to shop the rest of our fall selection, including Japanese maple trees showing their fall color, California native plants and other drought tolerant plants that establish well over our mild East Bay winters, and fall vegetable plants and edible garden plants if you're keeping your kitchen garden going.
