Description
Large, rounded flower heads, the Nikko Blue hydrangea's round growth habit is such a sight to behold. Featuring deep blue florets (although soil ph can affect color), they are like clouds of blueberries in shrub form. It enjoys being planted in partial shade with rich, medium moisture, well-drained soil. Blooming season may only be in summer, but boy is it bountiful!
Having over 70 deciduous or evergreen tree and shrub species, Hydrangeas, bring bountiful and colorful blooms to whatever landscape they are planted in! These beauties can change color based on soil ph, which is quite a remarkable feature to have, if you think about it. Generally their bloom cycle is Summer, however some varieties start sooner (early as Spring) and end later (Autumn).
