Description
Rubra is a small flowering dogwood with a broad canopy and stunning soft-pink star-like flowers in spring. Summer follows with ovate green leaves and orange-red fruit. Inedible for humans, but loved by hungry birds who will visit your garden. Fall brings spectacular leaves in shades of maroon and scarlet. A magnificent, small, flowering beauty.
Dogwoods (Cornus spp.) include a large group of flowering shrubs and woody trees. This group includes varying sizes of trees and sub-shrubs. While they vary in size, dogwoods are known for providing year-round interest from early spring flowers, delicate leaves, summer berries and brilliant fall colors. Dogwoods are favored for their elegant beauty and year round interest.
