Lavender angustifolia is commonly known as English Lavender and is the one most often used in cooking and for decorative use. Prized for its aromatic leaves, fragrant flower spikes of varying shades of purple and the classic, sweet lavender scent. Long flower spikes make it excellent for cutting. 'Big Time Blue' is an impressive, compact variety that produces some of the largest flower wands--up to 4'' long with gorgeous deep purple/lavender blooms.
