The Foxtail Agave or Agave attenuata has a delightful rosette-shaped form, which can add an interesting accent to your garden beds. The upward growing leaves are an attractive silvery green. The Foxtail Agave is an easy to grow, evergreen succulent perennial that will provide your yard with structure year round.

Featured Plant: Pennisetum ‘Rubrum’

The purple fountain grass, known by the botanical names Pennisetum ‘Rubrum’, is a beautiful and useful grass to add to your landscape. Its foot-long plumes of golden and burgundy seed heads wave in the breeze above the clumping green and maroon foliage. These inflorescences are long lasting and persist through the summer and into the fall. The seed heads are sterile and therefore won’t cause a problem with re-seeding grasses all over your yard!

Featured Plant: Verbena

Verbena is a great selection for Bay Area gardens. Their bloom time is very long – from early spring into late fall. Verbenas are either bedding annuals or perennials that originate from the Americas or Asia.
