Description

Botanical Name: Malus domestica
Cultivar: Pink Lady Apple

Hot climate apple from Western Australia. Good keeper. White flesh resists browning. Reddish pink over green skin when ripe.

An apple tree is a beautiful and nutritious addition to any backyard orchard! Beautiful spring blooms will delight. All our apple trees are self-fertile, however cross pollination with a different variety will yield even better results.

Deciduous, slow growing, upright tree. 3-5 years before fruit production. Growth size dependent on root stock. Apple trees can be pruned to a central leader or open center. No matter the maximum size, the trees can be kept to any desired height by summer pruning.

Care

Sun Needs: Plant in full sun (minimum 6 hours).
Soil/Water Needs: Enriched, well-drained soil is best. Water deeply and regularly for first few growing seasons to develop an extensive and strong root system. Reduce frequency once established.
Planting and Care Tip: Apply fertilizer in early spring. Prune as needed for desired shape and tree health. Thin heavy crops in late spring.
